Thus ends another day in the hospital. Missi showed up again today with my iPhone charger (yea!), the laptop (yea!), and chocolate covered peanuts (I knew I loved her). Things here are now passable enough for me to spend a day or two more. I have a cardiac catheter procedure scheduled for tomorrow. They’ll run …

Health update
I had a stress test this morning. The results weren’t as good as we had hoped. I’m probably going to be admitted to the Cardiac unit. More tests are being scheduled. Stay tuned for more info.
Out of service
While on vacation in Jamaica (sorry I meant to blog about that before this) I started having a hard time with rapid heart rate, shortness of breath and mild chest pain. At the moment, I’m in the University hospital in Baltimore for observation. Everything looks normal at this point, but I’m being admitted overnight for …
Someone new
I’ve been seeing someone new for a bit, and it’s going pretty well. For the time being let’s call her Miss I (or just Missi). She’s not cool with her identity being on released here, but if you get a chance to hang out with me anytime soon I’m sure you’ll meet her.
Buy Nothing Christmas – revisited
Addicted
Whatever you do don’t play Desktop Tower Defense. I’m totally addicted. If I don’t graduate next year, I’m betting this is the reason. If against my advice you decide to play anyway, post your scores to the “cs.umd.edu” group. That way I’ll know I’m not alone in my addiction. Some scores: Finished the Easy levels …
Existential Freak-Out
I feel like I have a deep case of depression that’s having a knock-down, drag’em out with a bunch of caffeine–somewhere deep down in my soul. I’m thinking that this is some sort of reaction to whatever happy-juice they pump into the water in the Magic Kingdom… This sucks.
Crowd Adverse
Sometimes I manage to seem like a completely normal person (stop laughing). But occasionally, I go into full freak-out mode. Increasingly, large groups of people (or even small but dense groups) cause me enormous amounts of stress. The phenomenon seems to have been getting worse since high school, and I’m probably starting to avoid certain …
Bike Geek
I love bicycling. And I hate to admit it, but I’m also a bike geek. While the latest and greatest bike technology is always interesting, I mostly ride older, used bicycles. I especially like mid-1980s vintage bicycles. (But I’d still like a new 2008 Trek Madone 5.2). You can see my line-up of bicycles in …
Seagull Century 2007
I had the great opportunity to ride in the 2007 Seagull Century. I completed the 100-mile ride in just about 10 hours. A few comments: Carry the supplies to fix a flat tire, even if you don’t know how to actually change a tire. I was happy to help someone who had broken down and …
