<p>My friend Megan was kind enough to pose for some photos for the <a href="http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/06/strobist-boot-camp-rules-guidelines.html">Strobist Boot Camp Assignment</a>.  After an uninspiring first round, we added the umbrella as a scene prop, and that made all the difference.  I made several photos that I liked, including this one.  Unfortunately, one of the best shots of the day ended up over-exposed by 3-stops as I set the flash to optimize for <a href="http://scottlaw.knot.org/photoblog/">Scott&#8217;s</a> setup, and I forgot to adjust my camera to match.  If I mange to save that one, I&#8217;ll post it here for comments.</p>
<p>Here, Megan has the last bits of daylight directly in front of her, and a Speedlight high and 45-degrees to her left bounced into a silver umbrella.</p>
